Ibi Ibrahim, a self-taught photographer raised in the Middle East, was born in the United States in 1987. Currently living and working in New York, Ibi’s work explores the issues of sexuality and identity in conservative Muslim societies, such as that of his native Yemen.
In addition to his photographs, Ibi has also directed a short film, Sounds of Oud, soon to be released.
Ibi’s works have been exhibited both in the Middle East, as well as around the United States. As well, he has also taken part in various auctions in Dubai and Kuwait.
